Christmas!!!

It's Christmas time!!! Time for warm fuzzy feelings, hot chocolate,
and crisp December air. Time to remember those God has placed in our
lives. Giving thanks for his wonderful provision and his gift of life
both temporal and eternal.

Money is low in our house but long gone are the days where I looked
for gifts on Christmas Day. My dad always said it's not Christmas Day
that's so special it's the time leading up to Christmas Day that make
it so wonderful. I want to make this a great Christmas. These last 2
years have been hard emotional and I must admit that I have not
enjoyed the Holiday Season due to certain circumstances. But now I
have a reason to celebrate: God. No matter who you are or what you
believe it is a blessing that we have this special season.

I think of watching It's a Wonderful Life, at least 10 renditions of
Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I'm actually reading all 3 of
Dickens' Christmas stories. The first of course is A Christmas Carol,
the second is Chimes, and the third is A Haunted Man, which is a
comedy.

I hope all of you have a great Christmas. Rest, relax, don't eat too much!!

Merry Christmas folks!!!

Okay, this is ridiculous. Like my husband said the other day "You're supposed to be an English Major!" Hey, I'm not yet. I spent four years of my life studying a completely different subject. I'm finding out that the world of English Literature is still quite a mystery to me.

I didn't know about these other Christmas stories! I tend to get bogged down in Dickens longer works. Where did you get a copy of them to read?

I went to Book-a-Million and ask for Dickens' A Christmas Carol and the other 2 stories were in there. I guess it was like a Dickens' Christams stories book. It's harder to read than more modern stuff. I guess poeple don't talk like that any more. Or rather back then the primary tool in communitating long distance was via letter.

I didn't know those stories existed either, and I was an English minor. Can blog readers expect a funbun review of the lessor known Dickens Christmas stories? (O.k., that wasn't really a question so much as it was a request.)

Hi,

I am doing research for e-books on original gift ideas. That is how I ran into your blog Christmas!!!. Do you have any brilliant suggestion for a Christmas gift for a wife by any chance? I already have several books done and posted at http://www.100mostoriginalgiftideas.com but I am looking to upgrade some of the ideas for Christmas gifts. Thanks.

Hi,

Hi Blogger,

I am a writer and I research gift ideas for e-books on original gift ideas for Christmas and other events like Valentine's, Easter etc. I also organize gift ideas per receiver, like for babies, for kids, for teens, for grandparents, for dog lovers, for him, for her, etc Or I organize them by category like romantic gifts and inexpensive gifts. In my research I also go through blogs that mention gifts and gift ideas or events like Christmas. That is how I came upon your blog Christmas!!!. I would appreciate if you would share just one successful gift idea with me, for instance a Christmas gift for a baby. I hope that my question doesn't annoy you. And I apologize if it does. I thought if I'd just ask enough people I'd wind up with plenty of good ideas to share with others again. That is what networking is all about, right? Or let's call it the spirit of Christmas. Let me know if I can do something for you. You can find my free e-books with gift ideas here: http://www.100mostoriginalgiftideas.com. God bless.
