DoomSled Update

As you can see below, I got my Bentech Highracer frame. It looks good, and I'm pleased with it. I'm gonna use the fork off my old MTB.

It's a one inch headtube. The builder uses a threaded headset, but I'm gonna use a threadless headset. From what I understand, going threadless will be lighter, stronger, and much easier to adjust. Threadless is industry standard now.

I'll use the fork from my old MTB. It has a threaded steerer tube, but the local bike shop can cut down below the threads. Thus making it threadless :) That fork has servered me well.

Update

Just got word that my highracer frameset will be shipping today. It should get here on Tuesday. I'll get pictures up and posted sometime after it comes in.

Also, I found a set of plans for a bicycle trailer made of bamboo. Looked cool. I may build it. I know I said I wouldn't use another trailer ever again, but if this thing can be build for cheap then I may give it a shot.

I'd only use it for touring or carrying large loads of groceries and stuff. I'd just use a single pannier for day riding.

Anyway, here is the trailer, nd the plans are free:

DoomSled, again

Hey, guys I've found another builder. Dom at Bentech agreed to build a short wheel base machine. Here is his website: Bentech Bikes.

He'll build a highracer for me in about a week's time. It will look similar to a Bacchetta Giro 26.

This'll be great because I could use standard mountain bike parts instead of the hassel of two different wheel sizes.
